The new 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross subcompact SUV coming soon to Spinelli Toyota is set to become as famous as its cousin, the sedan.

So what's new for 2022 at Toyota Canada? A new sub-compact SUV is joining the line-up of 7 other Toyota SUVs that includes the C-HR, RAV4, RAV4 Prime, Venza, Highlander, 4Runner and Sequoia. Introducing the new 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross! That’s right, it’s a Corolla SUV. Engine and Fuel Economy of this SUV

Under the hood of the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross lies a 2.0 L, 4-cylinder engine with 169-horsepower. It is paired to a Direct Shift CVT transmission with optional all-wheel drive depending on the version. Its fuel consumption is below the 8.0 L/100 km mark, and boasts a towing capacity of up to 1,500 pounds. It’s price and exact release date have not been revealed yet, but we expect it to launch at Toyota dealerships in Montreal, Laval and the South Shore as early as next October.

It stands out with several unique features such as a black grille, black accents, front and rear LED lights, a rear spoiler, and a choice of 17-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels.

Similar to its sedan and hatchback siblings, the Corolla Cross boasts a spacious interior. It can be equipped with a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, SofTex faux-leather seats, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support. Every version of the Corolla Cross is equipped with the following:

-Rear passenger air vents

-Heated front seats

-7-inch multimedia display (optional 8-inch)

-Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration

-Toyota Safety Sense 2.0

-Blind spot monitoring

-Rear Cross Traffic Alert

We also know that the team at Toyota are preparing a hybrid variant of the 2022 Corolla Cross, but neither its release date nor any other details have been released yet.  What we can say is that this new sub-compact SUV is primed to be as successful as the Corolla sedan, and that would be nothing less than a resounding success!
